This reissue marks the creation of Silver Apples Foundation, a non-profit organisation and imprint dedicated to honouring the legacy wishes of Simeon Coxe by preserving the memory of Silver Apples and supporting electronic music through a scholarship fund.
This release will be followed later in the year by the long-awaited biography, Electronic Evocations, by music journalist Kris Needs.
This version of Oscillations was the final recording by Simeon at his ChickenCoop studio in Fairhope, Alabama in 2019, capturing how he performed it live.
It is backed with Andrew Weatherall’s remix of The Edge of Wonder, taken from the final Silver Apples album Clinging to a Dream.
The sleeve features an oscillator drawing by Simeon (2014), with the original Silver Apples logo on the reverse.
The release includes a custom slipmat featuring the iconic Apples logo.
